The finding of little Opal Jennings remains nearly 5 years after her abduction gives me renewed hope for Derrick.

What took the investigators in his case so long to consider he amy have been abducted?

On Sept. 25, 1999 authorities discovered graffiti on a restroom wall near Burns referring to Derrick. Fingerprints also were found. Authorities from a number of agencies, including the FBI, searched a one-mile area around the restroom but turned up no additional clues or evidence.

An FBI profiler was to analyze the handwriting to determine what type of person may have written it, and whether it may have been a hoax.

Why does a man sexually abuse a child and guilt them in to silence by threatening to kill himself if they tell on him?

Why does a man who is already facing prison attack another child, slit their throat, and leave them for dead just before he is to be sentenced?
