Ashley Pond: Siblings Put In Protective Custody

Court Hearing Set For Tuesday

ESTACADA, Ore. -- She lost one of her children to murder and now three of Lori Pond's kids have been taken into protective custody.
The children, ages 12, eight and one, where removed from the home of their mother by Clackamas County Sheriff's Deputies around noon Monday.

An investigation was launched Sept. 5 after a school counselor reported that the children were being neglected. The allegations against Pond involve alcohol and domestic violence. A court hearing is set for Tuesday afternoon.

Ashley Pond was found murdered in her neighbor, Ward Weaver's backyard in Oregon City, Ore., in August of 2002.

The Ponds now live in Estacada.
